Ben Blanton
President
Ben was born and raised in Valdosta, GA. He grew up in the insurance industry under his father, Lou Blanton, who was a founding owner of Blanton & Griffin. After graduating from Valdosta State University in 1981, Ben officially began his insurance career as a producer. Ben is a designated Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). He was a past Chairman of the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia, Young Agents Committee (YAC) from 1993-1994. Also, Ben has been involved in numerous professional activities and community activities in Valdosta and the state of Georgia. Ben and his wife, Jan, have been married since 1984 and have a daughter named Sloan and a son named Rob. He and Jan are members of Park Avenue Methodist Church. In his off-time, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife, family, working out, hunting, playing golf, and traveling.
Jack Henry
Secretary
Jack Henry is a proud University of Georgia graduate from Valdosta. He received his bachelor’s degree in Risk Managament. He began his career in insurance in 1980; he has worked as both a commercial lines underwriter and a commercial agent. He holds CIC and CPCU designations. Jack has been married to his wife Lisa since 1984, and they have three sons: Wade, Zac, and Reynolds. Jack and Lisa are members of First United Methodist Church. When he’s not at the office, Jack enjoys playing golf, staying active, doing yard work, watching college football, and cheering for the Georgia bulldogs.
Kevin Eppes
Vice President
Kevin Eppes is a Valdosta native and a graduate of Valdosta State University. Go Blazers! He has been in the insurance industry since 1997 and is both CIC and AIC certified. He is also the incoming president of Georgia Agency Partners (GAP). Kevin and his wife Zane have a son and a daughter. Kevin and Zane are active members of Covenant Baptist Church. Kevin’s hobbies include snow skiing, fishing, and hunting.
Rob Blanton
Rob Blanton is a Valdosta native. He is the fourth generation in his family to work in the field of insurance. Rob received his Managerial Finance degree from the University of Mississippi. He then began his career with Blanton & Griffin in 2016. Currently, his time is spent focusing on managing his clients risks and overseeing the contract surety department. Rob has placed an emphasis on construction and manufacturing related accounts. During his free time you can catch Rob hanging out with his chocolate lab, Mo, bass fishing, exercising, playing tennis, and working on his golf game.
Wade Henry
Wade is a Valdosta local and a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Agribusiness and Economics. He grew up in the insurance industry because of his father Jack’s career. Wade began his own career in the industry as a marketing assistant at Blanton & Griffin in 2011 and went into full time production in 2015. He has his Certified Insurance Counselors License (CIC) and serves on the Young Agents Board for the Independent Insurance Association of Georgia. He and his wife Annabelle have a son and a daughter, named Cooper and Hannah. Yogi is their family Labradoodle. Wade and his family are active members of First United Methodist and Wade serves as co-chair of the strategic planning committee. He has served as a board member of the United Way and was a 2015 graduate of Leadership Lowndes. In his free time, Wade enjoys being with his family, spending time around the water, golfing, and cheering for the Auburn Tigers.
Zac Henry
Born and raised in Valdosta, Zac is a proud graduate of Auburn University where he received his degree in finance. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia State University. Zac began his career with Blanton & Griffin in 2017 after spending 5 years in the banking industry in Atlanta. He specializes in commercial insurance where he facilitates coverage placement and maintains relationships with our insurance carrier partners. He has earned the designation of Certified Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).
He and his wife Lynde have three boys, Walt, Beau, and Tate. Zac and his family are active members of Park Avenue Church. He is a Leadership Lowndes Graduate and is also involved in the community through the Azalea City Civic Club where he currently serves as president. Zac enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing golf, and being outdoors.
Carter Coleman
Carter is a Valdosta native and graduate of the University of Mississippi. Prior to working at Blanton & Griffin, Carter was a commercial underwriter with Southern Insurance Underwriters. He has been working in the insurance industry since 2011 as both an underwriter and an agent. He has several noteworthy designations including Risk Management & Insurance degree from Ole Miss, Commercial Property & Casualty of Georgia license, as well as a life insurance license. He and his wife Catherine have a son named Walt and a daughter named Mary Mac. Carter’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Steven Hall
Steven was born and raised in Valdosta, GA and has been in the insurance industry since 2008. Steven holds insurance licenses for Property, Casualty, Life and Health. In addition, he holds a Property and Casualty Counselors License. He currently serves as the Chairman for the Georgia Young Agents Executive Committee of the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia (IIAG). He has also served as the Secretary/Treasurer, Vice Chairman, InVEST Chairman, Governmental Affairs Chairman, and Sales and Leadership Chairman for the Young Agents Committee. He is also a member of the Valdosta Rotary Club where he has twice served on the Board of Directors and has served as Chairman of the annual Rotary Golf Tournament for many years. Steven attended Georgia Southern University and is an Alumni of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He holds a degree in Business Administration, Cum Laude from Georgia Military College and has earned two professional designations: Accredited Advisor of Insurance(AAI®) from The Institutes in 2017 and Certified Workers Compensation Underwriter(CWCU) in 2019. Steven is married to Tiffany B. Hall and they have three children, sons Davis and Maddox, and a daughter, Hadley. They are members of Perimeter Road Baptist Church in Valdosta where Steven serves on the worship team. Steven enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid songwriter in Christian and Country music.
Bill Drawdy
Bill lives in Alapaha, GA and has been an insurance agent since 1993. Bill knows most everyone in the area (or at least one of their relatives) and prides himself on handling all his accounts very personally. He is married and has two daughters. When Bill isn’t in the office, you can be sure he is visiting with his clients or enjoying lunch at the local buffet. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, running, and motocross riding.
Jeff Summers
Jeff is originally from Columbus, Ohio, but has lived in Valdosta since 1974. He is a Valdosta State University graduate and has been in the insurance industry since 1986. Jeff has worked in several roles throughout his career in insurance and he is certified as a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF). Jeff has been married to his wife Stephanie since 1981 and they have 3 children: Kelly, Rob, and Blake. Jeff enjoys camping and spoiling his and Stephanie’s 4 beautiful grandchildren.
